Brest lift with wedge technique and investment points

Improves the shape of the breasts.

The Augmentation Mammoplasty, or what we usually call breast implant, is one of the most performed procedures by our surgical team.

Mastopexy is the surgery that completely reshapes the shape of the breast. It is a surgery indicated when the breast falls, is very wide or has a strange shape that we want to change.

Mastopexy is not a single technique, they are a very different set of techniques that allow different results, so it is very important to have an idea of what breast we would like to have, and what we would like to change. Previously in almost all mastopexies it was necessary to add a breast implant to improve the shape of the resulting breast, with the most modern techniques this is no longer necessary; breasts with good projections and very round shapes can be achieved without the need to add any implants.

Even so, there are patients who take advantage of sagging breast reconstruction surgery to increase their size. The Inverted Points Technique allows an easy and fast recovery with the most natural result without external scars; since all the suture used is resorbable and internal, improving patient healing.

The wedge technique applied in this surgery is done through several internal sutures. Its main objective is to give the breast greater centrality, so that it has much more projection and thus looks rounder; also preventing the implant from going to the sides of the chest

Approximately two to three hours.

A general anesthetic is administered to put the patient completely to sleep.

Temporary and mild discomfort, mild or moderate swelling, change in nipple sensation (increased or decreased) and temporary bruising. The breasts may be susceptible to stimulation for a few weeks

The implants may need to be removed and/or replaced if any of these problems arise: loss of volume, implant rupture, scar formation around the implant (capsular contracture) which could cause the breast to be tight or hard, bleeding and/or infection.

Other possible risks are increased or decreased sensation of the nipples or breasts, which may sometimes be permanent.

The patient will be able to return to work in just a few days. Any physical contact with the breasts (except bra) should be avoided for approximately three to four weeks. The scars will mature and smooth within three months to two years after the operation, depending on the particular recovery of each individual.

Results will vary from patient to patient. However, the overall effect is an enhancement of the breasts that leads to an improvement in the appearance.
